The
selection process for the Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship
programme is a very rigorous one. Only applications
from students who meet the eligibility criteria
and have an excellent academic background and have
achieved distinction as all-rounders will be considered.

After
an initial screening of eligible applications, candidates
will be shortlisted for a personal interview.
3.
Scholars selected for
the interview will be individually intimated.
4.
The
interviews will be held at Mumbai at a predetermined
venue about which scholars will be informed. Those
appearing for the interview will bear their own
travel and other expenses. The interview is mandatory
and is conducted by an eminent panel including subject
experts.
5.
The
final selection of Scholars will be decided on the
basis of their interview.
6.
Selected students will
be intimated by courier and by telephone.
Procedures
to be followed after being selected as Narotam Sekhsaria
Foundation scholar:
1.
Scholars
will have to furnish a photocopy of the
letter confirming their admission to University/
College, to the Foundation.
2.
Scholars
will have to return a signed copy of the
MoU with the Foundation agreeing to the
terms and conditions.
3.
Scholars
will have to submit the copy of the form
I-20 if going to US Universities.
4.
For
students going to non-US Universities, a
financial statement from the University/College
in which the student is getting admitted,
is to be furnished by the scholar based
on which disbursement of the tuition fee
will be done.
5.
Year
wise disbursement will be done based on
the statement of the University/College.
6.
Scholars
will have to take an insurance policy for
an amount equivalent to the loan and assign
it to the Foundation.
7.
Scholars
will be called for a mandatory orientation
programme at Mumbai before commencement of
their course.
8.
Scholars
will also have to submit copies of their tickets
and student visa.
